January 2026 MONTHLY MEETING Monday 12th January

Dear South West Herts u3a members, The next Monthly General Meeting, will be held on Monday 12th January and will be held "in person" at the Stanborough Centre 609 St Albans Road, Watford, WD25 9JL with a Zoom feed available for those who do not wish to attend large group meetings and with a safely spaced additional room for those who do wish to attend but not be closely seated.

Members setting up Interest Group "stalls" in the Stanborough Centre will be given early access.

The general membership will be "scanned in" from 09:15.

There will be the normal “business” announcements at 10:00.

Following that, at approximately 10:30 a.m., there will be a break for tea/coffee and biscuits.

After that there will be a talk by Charles Wallace on the topic of "Emma Hamilton – Lord Nelson’s Mistress"

The meeting will close after the talk at approximately 12:00.

Dear South West Herts u3a members, Due to an unfortunate technical hitch the printing of the January Newsletter has been delayed.

However, thanks to a herculean effort by our Newsletter team and the printers the January Newsletter WILL be printed but will only arrive during the Monday Monthly General Meeting rather than beforehand.

If you have an e-mail address you should already have received an “on-line” copy of the newsletter but, if you prefer to have a hard copy of it, you will have to wait until they are delivered to the Stanborough Centre during the Monday meeting.

With fulsome apologies we hope you will look forward to receiving you newsletter slightly later than usual.
